Secondary Education Examination

The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) is a national-level examination in Nepal conducted by the National Examination Board (NEB). It marks the completion of Grade 10 and serves as a gateway for students to pursue higher education.

Importance of SEE

The SEE is a crucial milestone in a student’s academic journey, as its results determine eligibility for further studies in different streams, including Science, Management, Humanities, and Technical Education. A strong performance in SEE opens doors to scholarship opportunities and better career prospects.

Examination Structure

The SEE evaluates students in various subjects, including:

  • Compulsory Subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Nepali, Social Studies, and Health, Population & Environment.
  • Optional Subjects: Students can choose from various subjects based on their interests and career goals.

Grading System

The SEE follows a letter grading system instead of percentage-based results:

  • A+ (Outstanding): 90 – 100%
  • A (Excellent): 80 – 89%
  • B+ (Very Good): 70 – 79%
  • B (Good): 60 – 69%
